This was announced by Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian, Censor.NET reports.
The Cabinet granted the request filed by Balczun himself. Yevhen Kravtsov, chairman of the supervisory board of the company, and first deputy of infrastructure minister, was appointed acting head of the company.
Omelian said numerous irregularities have been revealed in the company. They will be investigated by the Prosecutor General's Office and the National Police.
"This will be a warning to the future leadership of Ukrzaliznytsia that they should work for the state," he said.
Omelian added he did not communicate with Balczun personally as long as Balczun is abroad.
Answering a question by journalists whether there were any positive achievements under Balczun in Ukrzaliznytsia, Omelian said:
"Until recently, it was supposed to be the repair of the escalator in Kyiv railway station, but it does not work again," Omelian said.
