This was announced by National Police in the Donetsk region, Censor.NET reports.
"Today [Aug. 6 - ed.], six people were killed in Mariupol, Bakhmut, and Konstiantynivka," the report reads.
During the day, all involved in the grave crimes were identified and detained by employees of the criminal investigation department of the Donetsk region.
One of the suspects is a 45-year-old man with childhood disabilities, who suffers a psychic disorder and is suspected of killing his 88-year-old mother and his sister. The detainee could not be interrogated and was sent to a specialized hospital.
Another double homicide was solved in Bakhmut, where a local man killed his 51-year-old and 64-year-old acquaintances after drinking alcohol with them.
Two unrelated murders were solved in Kostiantynivka. The suspects in killings of a 60-year-old and a 63-year-old were detained.
All detainees face up to 15 years in prison if convicted of homicide.
