U.S. Department of State spokesperson Heather Nauert told a briefing on Thursday, Censor.NET reports.

"I can certainly say, though, that we have not provided defensive weapons nor have we ruled out the option to do so. So that's an option that remains on the table, and that's as far as I can go with that," Nauert said.

Late July, The Wall Street Journal reported citing some U.S. officials that the Department of State and Pentagon have elaborated a plan providing for defensive weapons delivery to Ukraine.

The deliveries might include Javelin anti-tank missile systems and anti-aircraft defenses, WSJ reported.
