Secretary of National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov commented on Russia sanctions, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the agency.
He said the sanctions against Russia that were introduced by U.S. President Donald Trump signing the new law were a very important decision.
"It is significant that the law that introduces the sanctions, was passed by the Congress, supported by the Senate, and signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, lists Russia next to North Korea," Turchynov said.
"It means the world is getting to understand that the regimes of these countries are becoming more similar to each other - unpredictable and dangerous," he said.
Turchynov said it's an important step to complete isolation of Putin and the totalitarian country that he turned modern Russia into.
"All dictators should remember that they end up with one thing - complete defiance and shame," the NSDC secretary summed up.
