As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by deputy commander of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 92nd Brigade of the Ukraine Armed Forces Captain Vadym Kryhin on air of Hromadske TV. He said the fighters of the 92nd Brigade were the ones who came under shelling.
"From about 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., Krasnohorivka and positions of the 92nd Brigade were under shelling. The fire stopped at around 1 a.m., and then again started from 1 a.m. to 4:15 a.m.," Kryhin said.
He said the shelling was long and intensive with the purpose to cover the saboteur group of the enemy.
"First they started to fire 120 mm mortars, then a tank. The saboteur group managed to partially reach our trenches. A skirmish started there and lasted for about an hour," Kryhin said.
Three Ukrainian fighters were killed in the skirmish, Kryhin said.
"At around 6 a.m. the saboteur group of the enemy started retreating. They were covered by machine gun fire. We managed to return our artillery from the withdrawal areas to the front line really quickly, including 2S1 and 120 mm and 80 mm mortars. We also employed armored groups of armored vehicles. We managed to repulse the attack, but we have three of our people killed. The militants have four of their people killed. Three bodies are in our trenches, and we learned about the fourth one from intercepted talks," Kryhin said.
He added three more military were wounded, four shell shocked due to a missile hit next to the brigade's position.
