 "We must prove Vitalii Markiv's innocence," - Italian lawyer of Ukrainian National Guards serviceman, detained in Italy

Italian lawyer of Vitalii Markiv calls upon everyone who was with him in the Donbas to testify in the case. He invites witnesses to come to Italy, but is as well ready to arrive and gather evidence in Ukraine.

As reported by Censor.NET citing TSN, the trial should start in fall this year. Italian media report about the case daily, but the usually speculate and distort fact, TSN reporter says.

The trial hasn't even started yet, but local media already convict Vitalii. The Ukrainian National Guard fighter is charged with a murder of Italian photographer in the east of Ukraine in 2014.

As reported, Vitalii Markiv was detained in Italy on July 1 for allegedly killing Italian photographer Andrea Rocchelli in the Donbas in 2014.
