As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrinform, this was announced by Chief of Staff Viktor Muzhenko during joint session of the Military and Scientific Council of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences.
"Accelerated militarization of Crimea continues. Compared to the period prior to the Russian occupation, the number of the enemy troops at the peninsula has increased almost twofold, and the number of weapons by five times," he said.
Muzhenko said the Russian Federation has significantly increased the fighting capacity of its navy.
"The combat capacity of the navy has been significantly strengthened, which now includes more than 30 ships, six missile boats, and five submarines, while one frigate and three submarines have modern Caliber type missile systems that can be equipped with nuclear munitions. The range is 1,500 km (with nuclear warheads) and 2,250 km (with conventional equipment)," he said.
