The Russian side is looking into all means to protect interests of Russians who have been detained in Ukraine.

"I cannot say for sure. I can just say that definitely all required measures to protect legal interests of Russian citizens are being made," Peskov said.

This was his answer to a question about possibility of exchange of Russians detained in Ukraine for Ukrainian citizens who are in Russia.

On June 24, Russian scout Ageev, born in 1995, was captured by fighters of the Ukrainian Army in a skirmish between the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade and a scout group of the 4th mechanized brigade of the 2nd army corps of the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" at Zholobok, the Luhansk region. Ageev's mother, his friends and former comrades confirmed to reporters that after his draft military service term ended, he signed a contract with the Russian army in March 2017.

On June 30, Ukrainian border guards of the Kherson unit with Armed Forces fighters detained two unidentified persons without documents in the Kherson region at the Perekopska gulf shore, and found a boat that they landed on. The men turned out to be Russia's FSB officers and have been subsequently detained by court for 15 days.
