This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko during a regulatory committee meeting, Censor.NET reports.
"Pre-trial investigation regarding Novynskyi continues. We analyze some of his activities that might possibly lead to a new motion in the Verkhovna Rada, in relation with an economic crime," the prosecutor general said.
PGO says Novynskyi is suspected of kidnapping people and abuse of power together with Ukraine's former top-ranking public officials (Yanukovych, Zakharchenko, Koriak).
The Verkhovna Rada procedural committee postponed the review of the above request until the PGO provided more materials.
On Dec. 6, the committee said that it was up to MPs to decide whether to deprive Novynskyi of the immunity.
On Dec. 8, the parliament deprived Novynskyi of immunity.
