NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov told Censor.NET in a commentary.
He said all state agencies that fulfilled recommendations by the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity and were included in protected circuit (protected Internet access) have not been affected.
"At the moment, cybersecurity experts are providing assistance to state agencies that were not included in the protected circuit for internal reasons, to facilities of critical infrastructure, and to the bank sector," Turchynov said.
He added that the initial analysis of the virus used in the attack shows signs of the Russian trace.
NSDC secretary stressed that the decisions of the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity "are not an option, but must be implemented by all state agencies."
"We are talking of the need for all state agencies to be included in the protected circuit of internet and fulfill all demands of cybersecurity experts. We also recommend that all banks do that as well, especially state-owned," Turchynov said.
