This was announced by Kyiv City State Administration deputy head Petro Pantelieiev during a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"On Saturday, they started technological process of launching the thermal power plant. Hopefully, residents of the five districts will have hot water tomorrow," he said.
Pantelieiev said the city authorities would control the process of debt repayment to Ukrtranshaz to avoid such situations in the future.
As reported by Ukrainski Novyny, in late May Kyivtranshaz, an Ukrtranshaz subsidiary, halted gas supplies to thermal power plant #6 that supplies water to Kyiv districts of Obolon, Troieshchyna, Raiduzhnyi, and Lisovyi.
On June 24, Ukrtranshaz cancelled its limits for gas supplies to TPP #6.
