 Chief Editor of Strana.ua Huzhva detained for bribe extortion, - Lutsenko. PHOTOS

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko announced that Chief Editor of Strana.ua online news outlet Ihor Huzhva was detained last night.

Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Based on materials by State Fiscal Service and prosecutor's office of Kyiv, Ihor Huzhva, who demanded and received $10,000 for not publishing some damaging information about an acting politician, has been detained.

"The investigation possesses video and audio evidence," prosecutor general wrote.

Ihor Huzhva has been notoriously known for pro-Russian stance of media he heads, and has been widely known as an owner of Vesti holding, which has been conducting pro-Russian propaganda and covering activities of Russian terrorists and mercenaries.
