Censor.NET reports citing the State Border Guard of Ukraine press service.
"During the trips, more than 100,000 Ukrainian citizens used their biometric passports, 21,200 of them benefited from the visa-free travel and crossed the border with passport only," the message reads.
32 percent of the travelers used air transportation, the rest traveled by train or cars. Most of the border crossings took place at Ukrainian-Polish and Ukrainian-Hungarian border, the press service reported.
It is reported that during weekends, the number of people traveling without visas was increasing.
Since the visa-free travel was implemented on June 11, 26 Ukrainian citizens were refused entry to the EU countries.
Since June 11, 2017, citizens of Ukraine who possess biometric passports are able to visit 30 European countries without visas. Ukrainians are allowed to stay there during 90 days in every six months.
