As reported by Censor.NET citing Ekonomichna Pravda, this was announced by the Kyiv City Administration in a decree.
The decision was made due to a request by service providers who maintain apartment blocks in the capital city.
A note to the decree reads that the new fees are set for 8,327 buildings (of the total 11,000 of Kyiv residences) that are served by 10 providers of utility maintenance services.
The average fee has been set at 6.43 hryvnia per square meter.
In June, the same fee was from 3 hryvnia to 5 hryvnia per meter, depending on servicing company.
The 10-percent discount is applied if the fee is paid by 20th day of the month following the billing month.
The document does not give the date when the new fees come into force, but it says the decree comes into effect upon publishing.
