Matios announced during the discussion in the Verkhovna Rada committee for countering and prevention of corruption on his initiative to close access to property declarations for all officials who "performed tasks in the interests of Ukraine's defense and security," Censor.NET parliamentary correspondent reports.
"We want to just do our job. Prosecutor General has ordered to provide me with security. I do not want that, as my relatives are watching, but I must say it. Infringement of my kids, with whom I have lived separately for 10 years, two attempts, regular bullying in commercial media - and all of that just over the appealed arrests of 16 taxmen out of 23 detained. More detentions to follow," Matios said.
He said that due to open access to e-declarations of certain military prosecutors who operate in the anti-terrorist operation area in the Donbas, some of their relatives have been kidnapped. Matios added the state has no resources to offer security to such military prosecutors.
