As of Tuesday morning, 2,910 citizens of Ukraine benefited from the newly implemented visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU member countries to enter the EU area since its coming into effect on June 11.

This was announced by deputy head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"The third day of visa-free travel... As of 6 a.m. June 13, 2,910 our compatriots crossed the border of Ukraine with the EU [since visa-free travel came into effect on June 11 - ed.]. They only had biometric passports with them. 70 percent of them crossed the western border in motor vehicle points of crossing, 7 percent through railway crossings. 23 percent used airports," he wrote.

Slobodian said six people were refused entry to the EU. Four of them had earlier violations of the EU migration laws, and two had no proof of the purpose of their stay.
