MP, adviser to interior minister of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko said on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"The issue has to be much wider than implementation of visa regime with the Russian Federation. We need to solve a complex issue, as long as Russia and Belarus are the common visa area. If we implement visa regime with Russia, and Russia does the same, the issue will arise as to what to do with Belarus. Russian citizens will still be able to come to Ukraine through Belarus," Herashchenko said.

The MP reminded that the issue of visa regime with Russia will be addressed by the Verkhovna Rada next week.

"It will be of recommendation nature, but if Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin speaks of it, it means President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko realized that the matter is inevitable in the future. However, it should not be implemented spontaneously.... It should be a planned system that would not harm interests of regular Ukrainian citizens who have to visit Russia regularly to see their relatives," the MP said.

As reported, FM Pavlo Klimkin recently proposed to create a system of Russian citizens preliminary reporting about their desire to visit Ukraine. Klimkin said Ukraine needs to control entry at its borders with Russia.
