 Former Luhansk region tax chief Antipov indicted with legalization of illegal revenues, - Military Prosecutor Matios

Yesterday, May 30, former chief of Luhansk region tax service Oleksandr Antipov was served another indictment of legalization of income received by criminal means.

This was announced by Chief Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

Matios said the new indictment had been served in addition to the previous one, made under paragraph 1 article 255 (creation of a criminal organization) and article 364 (abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The military prosecutor added that Antipov failed to post the bail set by the court in the amount of 15 million hryvnia ($572,500).

Matios said the prosecutor's office will file a request with the Pechersk district court of Kyiv to change the measure of restraint for Antipov to arrest.

Antipov was detained together with two dozen other top tax officials of Ukraine in the National Police and the Military Prosecutor's Office's special nationwide operation to detain senior officials of the former Inland Revenue Ministry of Ukraine on May 24. On the same day, the court set a bail for Antipov in amount of 15 million hryvnia and released him from the court room.
