 Poltorak signed order for military draft of reserve officers

Ukraine's Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has signed the order to draft reserve officers for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was announced by Artur Artemenko, personnel directorate head and deputy of Chief of General Staff.

"Five minutes ago I was informed that the minister has signed the order to draft reserve officers for military service. The order will now proceed to the Justice Ministry. The service term will be 18 months," Artemenko told a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

As reported, the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces announced earlier that reserve officers under 43 years who had graduated from military departments in their colleges would be drafted for an 18-month service term. District and city recruitment offices have started summoning reserve officers for medical checkup and completion of paperwork.
