As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, spokesperson for the Security Service of Ukraine Ihor Huskov told a briefing.
"The source of this virus (fake communities - Ed.) is outside Ukraine. They were artificially created by the secret services of the Russian Federation. We are the breeding grounds where they try to grow these seedlings to use them against our people. We have some relevant evidence," he said.
Huskov stressed that the first cases of the fake communities' creation were recorded back in 2007 while these efforts have been intensified all across Ukraine since 2012.
According to him, three types of the fake communities are currently being created.
"We clearly see them, they do not overlap and do not interfere with each other. The first type includes the territorial communities of public law. They act under the guise of legal entities. The second one involves pseudo territorial communities. They are dead set against being officially registered. Cossack communities are the third type. We hear little about them, but more than 200 of them have been registered as of today," Huskov said.
The law enforcer says conscious Ukrainian citizens, patriots of their country are being dragged in such communities by means of propaganda. Some stories involve colorful attractive offers, while others employ national feelings.
"Our enemies use three key elements - the rule of law, the principle of democracy and corruption: these are the three pillars which the policy of the Russian secret services leans on," he stressed.
According to Huskov, the danger of the fake communities is that they are being created in order to block the decisions of the central government.
