Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO headquarters press center.
"The Russian-terrorist forces continue attacking Ukrainian troops all along the demarcation line, although the intensity of strikes committed by the enemy using large-caliber artillery systems has somewhat decreased. 48 militants' attacks were recorded over the past day.
"In Prymorske direction, the illegal armed groups employed weapons against Ukrainian servicemen 17 times. The militants shelled Ukrainian troops' positions near Shyrokyne with 120 mm mortars on Sunday evening. The enemy tank committed several strikes on strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Vodiane village. The defenders of Hnutove were shelled with 82 mm mortars while soldiers deployed near Pavlopil were fired upon with the IFV weapons. The militants occasionally used small arms and grenade launchers at this section of the contact line and on the outskirts of Lebedynske, Chermalyk, and Novotroitske.
"In Donetsk direction, the illegal armed groups breached truce 24 times. Most of violations were recorded in the vicinity of Avdiivka. Last night, the militants repeatedly committed fierce attacks on certain strong points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the southern suburb of Avdiivka using 82 mm and 120 mm mortars and weapons of smaller caliber. 82 mm mortars and anti-aircraft guns were also used near Kamianka. The illegal armed units fired at strongpoints near Verkhniotoretske, Opytne, and Pisky with the same types of mortars, small arms and grenade launchers. The militants launched attacks on Ukrainian strongpoints on the outskirts of Zaitseve and Maiorsk from the suburbs of the temporarily occupied Horlivka," the ATO HQ said.
Besides, the militants shelled Avdiivka-based Donetsk filtering station from the direction of occupied Yasynuvata around 7 p.m. yesterday.
"Seven militants' attacks were recorded in Luhansk direction. Ukrainian servicemen deployed near Troitske were fired upon with 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms last night. Positions on the outskirts of Krymske and Zolote villages were blanketed with 82 mm mortars. Automatic grenade launchers were employed against defenders of Malynove, " the situation report reads.
As reported, the militants fired upon the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions 48 times on May 20.
