 First Ukrainian to cross border with European country without visa on June 11, - Poroshenko

The EU decision to waive visas for Ukrainian citizens will be published in the EP’s official journal in the coming days.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was said by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

"Information on introduction of a visa-free travel for Ukrainian citizens is expected to be formally published in the official EU journal on June 11 while the first Ukrainian without visa in the passport heading to one of the European countries will cross the state border on June 11 at midnight," he said.

According to him, Ukraine completely breaks with its Soviet and post-Soviet past, and confidently pursues the path of European integration.

As reported, on May 17, the President of the European Parliament signed a legislative act allowing Ukrainian citizens traveling to the EU without visas.
