Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the National Police Communications Department.
"The militants shelled the front-line town around 5:45 p.m. today. The strike blanketed the old part of Avdiivka. One of the shells hit the courtyard of a private house at Soborna Street shattering its windows and damaging the walls and roof.
"A 36-year-old owner of the house was not hurt as he was in the courtyard next door. His wife was at work," the report reads.
The crime scene team is working on site. The law enforcers examine the affected area in search of other possible consequences. The police intend to initiate criminal proceedings into this offense under Article 258 (the act of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
