Censor.NET reports citing a statement by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov.
"Some software developed in Russia is used for cyber espionage, spread of dangerous viruses, and cyberattacks," he said.
According to the official, the NSDC can only recommend business owners using Russian software (namely for accounting) not to do so. But as for government agencies, they will urgently replace Russian software by the domestic one.
Turchynov noted that "the software developed in Ukraine is of high quality". In addition, he noted that the European software could become an alternative to the Russian one.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on implementing sanctions against social media websites. Internet providers are banned from offering their consumers access to services by "Mail.ru" (www.mail.ru) and socially oriented media VKontakte (www.vk.com) and Odnoklassniki (www.ok.ru). The list also designates services by Kaspersky Lab, Doctor Web and Yandex including Yandex.Money, Yandex.News, Yandex.Photos, and its e-mail service.
