Video of the Zakharchenko's briefing was published online, Censor.NET reports.
The militants' leader said that his great-grandmother "was captured in 1941, survived Buchenwald, Auschwitz, and Reykjavik. She was liberated by the Americans in Reykjavik".
Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland. There were no concentration camps on the territory of this country during the World War II. Social networks suggest that Zakharchenko could have meant "Ravensbrück" concentration camp in 90 km away from Berlin.
