Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the National Police of Ukraine.
The General Secretariat instructed to delete information about Viktor and Oleksandr Yanukovych from Interpol's databases. The Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) for Ukraine received request to update its database accordingly.
Ukraine's NCB submitted a copy of the General Secretariat's decision to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
As reported, Yanukovych was put on the international wanted list in January 2015. The information about the ex-president disappeared from Interpol's databases in July 2015. Ukrainian NCB reported that Yanukovych was on Interpol's wanted list, but public access to his file was limited pending hearing of a complaint filed by Yanukovych against his alleged prosecution by Ukrainian authorities on political grounds.
