The militants continue to suffer losses of personnel and equipment due to the lackof communication. They usually use these facts to discredit the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces, Censor.NET reports citing the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"On April 28, during the rotation at the forefront of '4th separate motorized rifle brigade' (Alchevsk) of the '2nd Armed corpse' (Luhansk), the IFV and cargo vehicle of the Russian Armed Forces drove to the militants' minefield. The armored vehicle exploded on an antitank mine, and then the car was struck by an anti-tank rocket from the position of the same brigade. Three soldiers were killed and seven others were injured," the statement reads.
According to the HUR, the Russian commandment is trying to distort information about the losses. A message sent to the militants' units accused Ukrainian soldiers of the sabotage act.
Ukrainian intelligence also claims that the militants suffer losses because of excessive drinking. On April 28, three militants were killed in a drunken brawl. In another case, the militants had been transporting alcoholic beverages on armored carrier and collided with a gas pipeline; a driver died in the accident.
