Yesterday, officers of the state courier service were attacked by five unknown persons in camouflage uniforms. The attackers have seized two packages with government correspondence and two Makarov pistols with ammo.
The police introduced 'Syrena' operational plan in order to identify and detain violators who escaped in a blue car, speaker of Kyiv National Police Oksana Blyshchyk wrote on Facebook.
It is reported that the attackers had injured the officers of the state courier service. One of the couriers was taken to a hospital.
The couriers confirmed that the attackers were dressed in black uniforms and had weapons.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under article 187 (part 2 - robbery) and article 262 (part 2 - abduction of firearms) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The attackers face up to 10 years of imprisonment.
