Censor.NET reports citing a Facebook message by the General Staff press service.
"On April 28, at around 11:40 a.m., an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was spotted over the territory of one of the military units. Soldiers on guard duty downed it using small arms and detained three people who had operated the drone. The detainees were handed over to the police," the message says.
Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko ordered to reward the vigilant military.
The General Staff warned against any provocative actions in the proximity of military units, adding that servicemen have the right to use weapons while on duty.
"Any UAV spotted in skies over military units and positions, as well as bases, warehouses and arsenals will be downed without warning. Persons involved in such incidents will be detained and held accountable under the Ukrainian legislation," the General Staff explained.
