Ukraine’s negotiator in Minsk Marchuk: cutting off energy supplies to “DPR”/“LPR” a wise decision despite ‘Russia’s hysteria’

Propaganda campaign launched by the Russian media and senior officials over suspended power supplies to the occupied territory of the Luhansk region was expected.

As reported by Censor.NET, such opinion was voiced by Ukraine's representative to the political sub-group of the Trilateral Contact Group Yevhen Marchuk on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"I consider this decision to be proper, although a propaganda campaign was launched not only by the Russian media but also by the senior officials.

"It was clear for us. Moreover, we were expecting it. It would look ridiculous, I mean those enterprises that were under our jurisdiction and were exporting their goods abroad through our Chamber of Commerce. It is sometimes hard for the people to realize how a company located in the occupied territory can actually operate under Ukrainian jurisdiction.

"It would be impossible to sell their goods without classification, which is carried out by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce. It would look funny: we supply energy, these companies produce goods and at the same time have nothing to do with the Ukrainian budget," he said.
