This was announced by Foreign Minister of Canada Chrystia Freeland, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
Canada's position on Ukraine remains tough: Ukraine has the right for self-defense and protection of its own sovereignty, Freeland said.
The minister also condemned illegal operations of Russia in Ukraine. She said her country decried the invasion and annexation of Crimea by Russia and Moscow's support for separatists in Donbas.
The diplomat said Ukraine is widely supported by developed countries.
Earlier, Chrystia Freeland said Canada had no intention to recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and condemned Russian support to militants in the east of Ukraine.
