 Hroisman expressed gratitude to Chornobyl liquidators: "Obeisance to the alive, eternal memory to the deceased!"

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman paid his respects and gratitude for the heroism to those involved in Chornobyl disaster management.

As reported by Censor.NET, he wrote on his Facebook page.

"31 years ago, the largest ecological catastrophe in the history of mankind took place at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

"We thank the heroes who at the cost of their own lives and health protected us from the terrible consequences of the tragedy. Obeisance to the alive, eternal memory to the deceased!" Hroisman wrote.

April 26 is the anniversary of one of the most terrible man-made catastrophes in the history of humanity - the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. The NPP was named after the town lying 15 km away from it.

As reported, the leaders of Ukraine and Belarus will jointly take part in the events on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Chornobyl accident.
