Head of the Donetsk regional military civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi said the repair works might start in the morning is cease-fire agreed.

He wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"At around 8 p.m. the fighting caused a damage to the high voltage line Makiivska AKHZ #2, feeding power to Avdiivka Coke Plant. The plant is currently operating with own-generated electricity," Zhebrivskyi said.

He added that five villages were also left without power in Yasynuvata district.

The Donetsk filtration plant operates in regular mode. Residents of Avdiivka are supplied with electricity in full except for street lighting that had to be turned off.

The Ukrainian side to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination is drafting a request for a cease-fire to be able to start repair works in the morning of April 21, Zhebrivskyi wrote.
