Explosive ordnance killed 42, wounded 109 children at war in Ukraine’s east, - mine action coordination group chief

The EOD teams of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have defused almost 12,500 pieces of explosive ordnance in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone since the beginning of the year.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the Defense Ministry press service, this was said at today's press briefing by the representatives of the ATO headquarters, State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, and the Halo Trust.

The experts believe mine clearance operation in the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is the issue of paramount importance. According to preliminary estimates, it will take from 10 to 15 years to completely clear of mines the territory of the Donbas.
