 Ukraine-Russia exports increase by 54.4 percent, imports by 78.8 percent, - State Statistics Service

The export of goods from Ukraine to Russia in January-February 2017 amounted to $576.58 million, which is 54.4 percent higher than in January-February 2016.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine referring to the State Statistics Service.

Based on the given data, imports of goods from the Russian Federation grew by 78.8 percent to make $1.164 billion.

All exports of goods from Ukraine increased in the first two months of this year by 32.7 percent, making $6.27 billion, imports by 22.1 percent, making $6.69 billion. Of these, the share of exports to Russia is 9.2 percent, imports - 14.9 percent.

The pace of trade with Russia decreased in February compared to January, when exports showed a 65.8 percent growth against the same period last year, to make $266.36 million, and imports by 107.4 percent, to make $523, 6 million.

The figures imply the export of Ukrainian goods to Russia in February this year increased by about 45.8 percent to $212.8 million, imports by 55.9 percent to $316 million.
