Positions near Krymske were pounded by 82 mm mortars. Strong points in the area of Avdiivka and Kamianka were hit by various types of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Defenders of Pisky and Opytne came under heavy machine gun fire, Zaitseve was hit by anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms.
In the Mariupol sector, the enemy used 82 mm mortars, anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns against strong points near Krasnohorivka. Militants fired underbarrel grenade launchers towards Starohnativka. Heavy machine guns were employed in the vicinity of Vodiane and Chermalyk. Sniper activity was registered around Novotroitske.
In the Luhansk sector, the enemy used 82 mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers against strong points outside Katerynivka.
Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded.
On April 17, militants carried out 32 attacks on Ukrainian troops in the ATO zone.
