Censor.NET reports quoting journalist Tetiana Zarovna as saying on Facebook.
"It happened right outside the house of Volodymyr Yelets, who is known to be the most headstrong champion of Ukraine in the town, whose behavior does not fit into the miserable stereotypes of local bandits. The car was an eyesore for separatists," she wrote.
"I believe the incineration of Volodymyr Yelets's car is a blow to all pro-Ukrainian activists of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, who call strikes upon themselves each day. A proper reaction must follow. If it does not, the bandits' next blow will target NOT property," she said.
A few days after the incident, Zarovna wrote the arson case was not being investigated and addressed Donetsk police chief Viacheslav Abroskin to conduct an adequate probe.
