 22 attacks recorded on Easter as militants employed mortars, IFVs, grenade launchers against Ukrainian troops, - ATO HQ

The Russian-backed militants keep inviting retaliation of Ukrainian troops in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone despite pre-agreed cease-fire.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO headquarters press center published on Facebook.

"The Russian occupation forces committed 22 attacks on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past 24-hour period. The enemy fired upon the detachments of Ukrainian Naval Infantry deployed near Pavlopil in seaside direction with 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, and large-caliber machine guns. The militants shelled positions on the outskirts of Hnutove with 120 mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers while the strong points near Vodiane were shelled with 82 mm mortars and anti-tank grenade launchers. The defenders of Shyrokyne and Lebedynske were fired upon with small arms.

"The adversary employed grenade launchers of various systems and large-caliber machine guns against ATO force's positions in the vicinity of Avdiivka in Donetsk direction. The strong points near Zaitseve village came under attacks with IFV guns and grenade launchers. The enemy fired upon the defenders of Butivka mine with large-caliber machine guns and shelled defenders of Myronivske with automatic grenade launchers.

"Positions near Katerynivka village in Luhansk direction came under strikes with 120 mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers. The enemy fired upon strongholds on the outskirts of Novooleksandrivka with small arms," the situation report reads.

As reported, the militants attacked the ATO forces' positions 29 times on April 15.
