Doctors in the Mechnykova Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hospital are fighting for life of gravely wounded Lviv resident, 21-year-old Ihor Halushko. He is one of the five "Instytutska Street Angels," who on Feb. 20, 2014 rushed to the Maidan 'frontline' to get wounded and killed activists from under the sniper fire.

5 Channel reports that doctors have operated on the fighter, call sign 'Tysak.' Halushko was wounded by a sniper in Marinka when saving his comrade call sign Ryba, Censor.NET reports citing ukr-biz.com.ua.

Halushko's comrade says Ihor's condition is grave but stable. He is wounded in the head.

Chief Physician of the Mechnykova hospital, Serhii Ryzhenko, wrote on his Facebook page that if Halushko and his comrade he was saving survive, he will believe in miracles again.

The comrade Halushko was saving is 28-year-old Danylo, from the Kherson region. Danylo is lucky not to be wounded severely. He is conscious and says "We were just defending Ukraine day and night."

On May 3, 2014, together with the rest of the "Instytutska Street Angels," Halushko was awarded Saint George Badge of Honor for his bravery during the fighting for Ukraine's freedom and unity. In 2015, Halushko signed a contract and left for the frontline.
