 Interior Ministry names Moldovan politician, survivor of attempted murder

Police have identified the Moldovan politician who survived an assassination attempt in Kyiv.

Censor.NET reports referring to the Interior Ministry press service.

According to the ministry, this is Moldovan businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc. Previously, he was the first vice chairman of the Moldovan parliament.

Plahotniuc is said to be the major Moldovan oligarch. His name has repeatedly appeared on the pages of Forbes magazine in lists of the richest and most influential people.

Previously it became known that the National Police, the State Border Guard Service and the PGO foiled an assassination attempt on a politician and businessman from Moldova. Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said it during a joint briefing with National Police Chief Serhii Kniaziev.
