Spokeswoman for Russia's Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax.
According to Zakharova, representatives of White Helmets civil defense organization behave rather unprofessionally in the video, get confused in the testimony and constantly change the narrative.
"This gives a firm impression about the staged nature of the video, and we have no doubt that the whole undertaking is obviously provocative," Zakharova said at a briefing in Moscow.
Earlier, Western media, referring to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said that warplanes belonging to Russia or the Syrian government targeted the city of Khan Sheikhoun in the northwestern province of Idlib with gases. The attack is reported to have killed at least 58 people, including 11 children, and injured dozens.
