As reported by Censor.NET, the lawmaker said in an interview with LB.UA news outlet.
"Leaving the post of the faction head was not my only decision. I have decided a long time ago to withdraw from political activity, but it's hard to accomplish," Hryniv said, adding that he has been a politician for 30 years.
"This year marks the 30th anniversary since I have put my academic career on hold. I worked at the university, was a chemist and never thought of being engaged in something different. But I have been in politics for good 30 years," Hryniv said noting that he became a politician being a member of Lviv-based Tovarystvo Leva (Lion's Fellowship) NGO.
He also admitted that he did not feel like heading PPB faction.
"I have been working as the faction chairman for a year and believe that it is enough. I did not feel like occupying this post, but it turned out that it had to be done because the team play is a team play. A year passed and I decided that it was necessary to transfer the duties to someone else," he summed up.
As reported, Ihor Hryniv resigned from the post of the PPB faction head and was replaced by Artur Herasymov.
