Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center.
"54 attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were recorded over the past 24-hour period," the situation report reads.
"In Mariupol direction, the enemy shelled the defenders of Krasnohorivka and Shyrokyne with 82 mm mortars. The militants fired upon the strong points on the outskirts of Pavlopil and Vodiane with grenade launchers of various systems and large-caliber machine guns. The Ukrainian forces' positions near Marinka were shelled with grenade launchers while marines deployed near Hnutove were fired at with machine guns. The enemy employed IFV weapons against Ukrainian marines' positions in the vicinity of Vodiane and Shyrokyne. Sniper attacks were recorded at Novotroitske.
"In addition, a clash between the Ukrainian soldiers and an enemy subversive and reconnaissance group took place near Marinka yesterday. The militants made an attempt to approach our positions but were spotted. Taking into account the immediate risk of loss of life of his subordinates, the brigade commander decided to use weapons which forced the enemy to retreat."
"The enemy fired upon the defenders of Avdiivka in Donetsk direction with 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. The strong points at Luhanske, Opytne, Pisky, and Nevelske were shelled with grenade launchers. The enemy employed large-caliber machine guns against Ukrainian soldiers deployed near Kamianka, Opytne, Verkhniotoretske, Butivka mine, and Pisky. The enemy snipers committed attacks in the vicinity of Opytne and Troitske.
"In Luhansk direction, the militants fired upon the strong points near Krymske with anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms, employed small arms against the ATO forces' positions in the vicinity of Lobacheve village," the update reads.
As reported, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and five were wounded in 48 attacks committed by the militants in the Donbas on April 3.
