"His candidacy was supported almost unanimously." As noted, there were only three abstentions (including Herasymov himself) during the voting.
"No one voted against Herasymov's candidacy," the press service said.
Artur Herasymov is the presidential envoy in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The PPB faction has been led by Ihor Hryniv since May 16, 2016.
Hryniv spoke of his desire to quit politics shortly after the exposure of electronic declarations in October 2016, citing unacceptability of the working conditions.
However, he continued to remain the head of the faction for there was no one inside the bloc to replace him.
