 Cease-fire introduced in Donbas

The cease-fire was introduced in the the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone on midnight, April 1.

The agreement was reached by the participants of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk at the meeting on March 29, Censor.NET reports.

March 29, the Trilateral Contact Group resolving situation in the Donbas agreed on the Easter cease-fire. Besides, the negotiators scheduled withdrawal of troops and weapons from Stanytsia Luhanska for April 6, 2017.

Moreover, a significant improvement of the borderline crossing procedure at the checkpoints is planned on April 1. Particularly, the work of checkpoints will be prolonged in the morning and evening hours.

The Defense Ministry earlier confirmed that Ukrainian soldiers were ready to cease-fire in Ukraine's east, starting from April 1.
