Fake pro-Polish rally in Lviv region sponsored by Nazhdak extremist organization leader Dulskyi, - SBU

The recent attack on the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk and simultaneous attempt to block the highway connecting Lviv and Rava-Ruska are a part of a targeted action organized by a single mastermind – the secret services of the Russian Federation.

Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"The office of Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade at 12:08 a.m. on March 29. A group of about 100 people attempted to block Lviv-Rava-Ruska highway at 10:15 a.m. on the same day.

"The rally was planned to last until 10 p.m. while its participants were instructed to show resistance to law enforcers.

"The time and manner of the events suggest that both provocations were coordinated in order to exacerbate the Ukrainian-Polish relations and the situation in the country.

"The law enforcers unblocked the highway and interviewed 92 detainees. Two organizers were served indictments. The court decides whether to impose pre-trial detention on them.

"The Security Service investigators established that the malicious plot of the Russian secret services was implemented by leader of Nazhdak extremist organization Mykola Dulskyi, who is hiding in the territory of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian law enforcers put him on wanted list for murder threat," the SBU said.

As previously reported, the building of the Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk was attacked on the night of March 29. Deputy Consul Krzysztof Sawicki said it was a terrorist attack. Fragments of an RPG grenade were found at the scene. Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin called the incident "a vile provocation " and said the criminals must be punished. President of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance Volodymyr Viatrovych said the provocations against Polish-Ukrainian relationship are entering a new, much more dangerous phase.

Foreign Ministry of Poland has summoned Ukraine's Ambassador Andrii Deshchytsia in connection with the incident in Lutsk and is to send a protest note to Kyiv. Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) said the Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk came under grenade launcher fire. A terrorist attack is named among the scenarios behind the incident. SBU said the Russian Federation is the only actor interested in provocations against Poland in Ukraine.
