 Russian troops assault Ukraine's positions with 122 mm artillery, mortars, tanks; 69 attacks recorded yesterday, - ATO Staff

Over the past 24-hour period, Russian militants committed 69 attacks upon positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO Staff's press center on Facebook.

It was the hottest in Donetsk direction, at Luhanske area, where the militants shelled ATO forces' positions with 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, IFV weapon, grenade launchers and large caliber machine guns. Troitske and Kamianka came under mortar fire, Avdiivka under tank fire, Zaitseve under grenade launcher fire, and Nevelske was attacked with large caliber machine guns.

In Mariupol direction, Russian troops assaulted Ukrainian positions in Marinka, Krasnohorivka, and Pavlopil area with 82 mm mortars; Marinka and Shyrokyne came under IFV weapon fire. Militants fired grenade launchers and machine guns in the area of Marinka, Vodiane, Pavlopil, and Krasnohorivka. In Novotroitske, snipers of the enemy were active.

In Luhansk direction, Russian troops assaulted positions at Troitske with 120 mm mortars, and Novooleksandrivka with 82 mm mortars. Defenders of Stanytsia Luhanska, Troitske, Valuiske, Popasna and Novozvanivka came under grenade launcher fire, Valuiske - large caliber machine guns fire.

"Given the grave fire activity of the enemy, Ukrainian military opened fire in response numerous times," the report reads.
