"A male was kidnapped in Dnipro City at around 4 p.m. The patrol police intercepted the car of the abductors and released the hostage just in an hour. That's how the new patrol police work!
"The crime story: a woman reported to the police that her husband had been beaten and taken away in a Skoda car. A patrol police crew located and intercepted the car with three perpetrators and their victim just an hour later. The driver told the police that there were weapons in the trunk. Two knives, a handgun and a shotgun were found during the inspection. Doctors found that the victim had contusions, abrasions, traumatic brain injury, concussion and a stab wound.
"The former abductee is in the hospital. The attackers were detained, weapons seized. The investigators are clarifying the reasons, motives, details and collecting evidence. The court will determine the pre-trial restriction and, I hope, hold them accountable.
"As for the police officers who apprehended the perpetrators, they continue policing the streets of Dnipro City. Police lieutenant Oleh Boiko and police sergeant Artem Lopatniov are your New Police!" Avakov wrote.
