Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.
"A member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received severe shrapnel wounds as a result of the shelling that blanketed the ATO forces' positions in the vicinity of Popasna. The strike was committed with the weapons banned by the Minsk accords, namely 120 mm mortars.
"The injured soldier was rushed to the Popasna city hospital, but doctors failed to save his life," the spot report reads.
The situation in the ATO zone remains tense: heavy weapons including 122 mm cannons, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars have been employed against Ukrainian troops in all directions throughout the day.
