Yanukovych regime Deputy Minister Kiriushyn detained in Georgia, prosecutor general says

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko reported on detention of ex-Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy Ihor Kiriushyn in Georgia.

Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"The Prosecutor General's Office is carrying out pre-trial investigation of the criminal case against Yanukovych era Deputy Minister of the Fuel and Energy Mr. Kiriushyn. He is suspected of involvement in misappropriation of property owned by Ukrnafta PJSC and Ukrhazvydobuvannia PJSC worth more than 2 billion hryvnia being a member of the criminal ring run by Viktor Yanukovych.

"Mr. Kiriushyn was detained in Georgia. The Georgian justice decided to detain him for 90 days to make a decision regarding his extradition to Ukraine," Lutsenko said.
